Ola Electric Mobility  set the price of its electric scooter at 99,999 rupees ($1,348) in an attempt to break the affordability barrier of electric two-wheelers in value-conscious India. The price of during the official launch period coincides with India’s Independence Day on Sunday. The basic version of the electric scooter can travel 121 kilometers (75 miles) when fully charged.
The company said that the final price will vary based on the subsidies provided by each state government. Delivery will begin in more than 1,000 cities in October, and exports to countries in Asia, America and Europe will begin in the next few months.
